Meet Our Staff

Cotati Small Animal Hospital has the privilege of working with Bergin College and Paws For Purple Hearts to make sure that these pups are in the best health they can be to provide service to our local veterans.

The nonprofit organization Paws For Purple Hearts started as a research program at Bergin College of Canine Studies and the Menlo Park Veterans Administration, and has since evolved into its own organization, training and providing service dogs and canine assisted therapeutic programs to veterans who face mobility challenges and trauma related conditions such as PTSD and Traumatic Brain Injury.

"Donations to Paws for Purple Hearts can change a Warrior’s life from hopelessness to optimism. "

With the wealth of dog foods available, choosing the right food for your dog can be challenging. When dog owners lack the knowledge to identify a healthy option, marketing often outweighs actual health considerations. Beware of trendy dog food brands and diets; not all are thoroughly tested or genuinely healthy for your pet.
